o Comment: In this activity we worked in pairs (if we wanted) and we had to create an activity to practice on conditionals, we could look for information or inspiration from the Internet. Then, upload the assigment to Siveduc. Some of our exercises could appear in the final test.
This activity helped us to better understand the content and prepare ourselves better for the final because then we did many exercises that could appear in the test.

2) Peer edited paragraph with use of 3rd conditional

Comment: This was the last task Malena gave us before closing the semester.
In the activity, we had to work in couples for  practicing the third conditional.
We had to write a short paragraph about something that could have happened to us, using that conditional.
Then we exchanged the paragraph and corrected each other to give us feedback, if we needed to improve something.
It was an activity that showed me that we can learn autonomously and that allows us to see our work from the perspective of another person.
I would like to do something like that again with some other content in the future, and it is also a good idea to use it with my future students.

Homeworks with Miss Yesi

1) Writting practice Email

Comment: Here we had to write an email to a student of the Geology degree. The email was formal, must be short and precise and the topic was natural disasters, and we had to present of selves, and then ask to the other person about any personal experience with natural disasters.
This activity was to improve our written skills.
The truth was that I was pleasantly surprised when the guywho answered me  told me he was from ChiloĆ© too. Chilotes everywhere.

2) Homework(19/06): Embedded Questions

Comment: Here at first it was tricky, because I was used to asking the structure of the questions in a way; and then having to change the order complicated me at first.
This homework helped me better understand the theory the teacher had shown us, in the previous class.
I am the kind of person who learn best by applying knowledge, by trial and error. In addition, we corrected it in groups during class and it was even more enriching, because we all learned from our mistakes and shared different opinions, although of course the teacher was there to guide us in case we had any questions.

3) Oral Practice For The Final Test (17/07)

Comment: This activity was an essay for our oral tests. The activity consisted of forming groups, asking a random question and talking about it for 5 or 7 minutes. Obviously, we had to incorporate new vocabulary, good pronunciation and grammatical structures.
I had a 4.5, barely approved.
However, unlike feeling bad about it and discouraging me from taking the oral test; This really opened my eyes and I decided to improve myself in the points that the teacher had pointed out to me.
I was practicing on improving my pronunciation in some basic words, I tried to use more grammar structure and lose some shyness.
I hope it had worked.

3.-  2 New examples of autonomous work

Example 1:Handout on Indirect Questions

Example 2: Handout on Relative Clauses

4.- 1 New annotated piece of work

-Class Activity: Show and Tell

The show and tell, was an activity in classes that was scheduled since March, with Miss Yesi.
In the activity, we had to make a small presentation of no more than 5 minutes per person, and to present about a subject to free choice, for example some book, movie, pet, sport, etc.
Then, the classmates and teacher who were as public could ask questions and give feedback.

Down here I put some photos of the topic that I talked about and also, photos of the feedbkack that some of my classmates gave me.

Personal reflection: at first I was not very clear about what to present, and I did not want to present my pet because I thought it would be very unoriginal. However, talking about my Charlie was the best decision I could have made for this activity, because the idea was to talk about something that I really liked and what I felt comfortable talking about.
I think that not only my presentation, but that of all my colleagues was an opportunity to know a new facet or perhaps some detail of our lives that not many of us knew.
Also, I liked the sense of respect that was given to the activity because everyone listened attentively to what I was talking about and allowed me to relax and express myself with more freedom.
Finally, feedback is always a good thing because it allows me to know that I have virtues and also some defects that can be improved with practice.
Personally, 100% pleasant activity !!

5.-  1 Short reflection on how prepared you feel to face the Final tests. What do I need to work more on? What do I feel confident about?

At this stage of the semester I am not even really stressed anymore. The only thought that goes through my mind right now is: "Cathy, calm down; you can do it ... you just have to give the last effort of this semester"
This time I have prepared myself better than when I gave the midterm, especially for the grammar because it is where I feel that I can do better, and also because of the three tests, it is the most predictable to put it in some way. Listening does not require more practice than listening to any audio in English, and in oral ... practice and more practice, besides we have no idea what question we might receive.
I am a little worried about the oral test; I feel that this is my Achilles heel. I think I need to look for new study techniques, or rather new practice techniques to improve my speaking skills.
It's not that I don't know new words or grammatical structures; many times I feel that I get very nervous and go blank.
I get paralyzed and say just basic sentences to save the moment. However, I know that I can give much more and that I have much to demonstrate.
I am somewhat happy with the grade of my oral test, which was a 5.0 ... not the best grade, but last year my grades did not exceed 4.5 in the orals. So for now, I consider it a good progress.

Honestly, I will give this final test as calmly and consciously as possible. I don't have high expectations, I just want to do it and that happens what it has to happen.

6.- 1 New annotated evaluation

Comment: This test wasn't considered hard for me, but the most of the mistakes I made were in grammar and punctuation. I could have been because of the presion I felt in that moment, the time was limitated and we had to complete all very fast.
The next time, If I had a limit of time to finished, I would have to find new strategies to finish on time.

7.- 1 New annotated piece of evidence (e.g. picture) of any interactive activity done in class.

Description and personal comment: This was an activity in class that we did with Miss Caro.
What we had to do was to think about an accident that could happen to us inside the university. For example, do not look when crossing and that a car hits us; Run through the corridors and fall or bumped  into someone.
Then, in pairs, we could leave the room for 10 minutes to make a recreation of the accident and take a picture of it.
Finally, we had to go back to the room and show our photo to other couples and explain the situation or accident that we wanted to recreate.
If I remember correctly, we had to explain the accident using modals. E.g: If you run through the corridors, you could hit someone.

It was honestly a very fun activity, we laughed a lot and arrived at the exact moment to get rid of the laziness of the afternoon.
Thinking like a teacher, I think that this kind of activities is perfect for when you know that maybe your students will be tired or bored due to the schedule, and the morning classes exhaust a lot of energy. This is a plus and allows that at the end of the activity students can have a better concentration and a better mood, which is always important in a learning environment.
P: the guy in the picture is Sergio. :)
